And, I’m back! Now can I go back?

Welp, I am back! After a week away from work, home and the blog I have returned from southern California. It was a fun week that felt just long enough. I feel recharged, excited and eager to get back to work and my other projects. It was a fun time spent with family … both immediate and cousins. It brought back a lot of memories from family trips of year’s past.

Lots and lots of fun.

During the trip we not only spent time with family, but we spent a couple days in Disneyland and went to a taping of The Price is Right. This was the second time I’ve attended a taping of the show. The last was one of Bob Barker’s last shows back in 2007 when I went down with a bunch of friends from college.

I didn’t get on the show nor did any of my family members, but we were right behind Contestant’s Row and I am sure I got some great camera time. There was one point where one of the camera’s did a pan out on me after a commercial break. I’m not sure if it will make the final cut, but the episode runs on January 13th. So, set your DVRs!

I am not going to summarize the whole trip here, I did plenty of that on my Instagram account @mejosher and my Facebook picture album of the trip. Feel free to check those out. I will however share a number of pictures via my Instagram accounts here that might interest you.

I am glad to be back. I am excited to get back to work. And, get back into my training regime. It was nice to get away and now I feel refocused and refreshed.

But, I still want to go back. I could live in Disneyland. But, that’s beside the point.

I swear I’m not just eating all the foods on vacation. But, we stopped at @tk_burgers for lunch today. I got the grilled ahi sandwich while the siblings got the renowned TK cheeseburger. Making small choices and changes make a difference especially when trying to “stay on track” while on vacation. While I passed on the burger (this time) at least I snapped a great picture of one. They smelled awesome! Oh, I did sneak some fries … A-MAZE-BALLS! FIGHT4PHAT

fight4phat

As I blogged about a couple weeks ago before vacation, Fight4Phat is a new part of my blog. Instead of rehashing all of it read about it here. I am not starting it in earnest this week. This week will be spent setting up my 12 week program and developing that schedule. I am going to blog about most of that this upcoming Wednesday. Including sharing my 12 week program.

But, in my fight for phat … this past week I stayed about the same. I didn’t gain weight during my vacation. I tried to stay as in-line as possible. I had my share of treats and non-diet food. But, I either shared it or countered it with running or walking. I share this mainly to show that losing weight isn’t all about food as it is about your mentality.

I am excited to start sharing more about this journey this coming week.
