Fight4Phat: Being sick really kills your motivation to do pretty much anything … just being

It’s been a tough week. Mentally and physically I am just drained. I started coming down with a cold — or really bad allergies? But, I’m sure it’s a cold. Not fun. It hit me pretty hard on Thursday.

So now I am debating whether or not to run this weekend. Luckily, I have a couple of days to decide how I feel. Not to mention to pump myself full of Vitamin C. But, really, this week has been a wash with my workouts and running. I’ve just had no energy and I feel a puddle of regenerated pooh.

Not fun.

Anyways — my fitness right now feels kinda derailed. I’m motivated to stay on course, but it’s hard to stay on course when your body just wants to Netflix n’ Chill all weekend long. So, I’m not rushing it. I’m watching my diet and food intake, but I’m not stressing out this week to get a long run or hardcore workout in — it’d probably kill me. Okay, not really — but at the very least it’d be stupid.

So, yeah — kinda sucks.

I am going to wait until next week to unveil my fitness plan. I’m actually working on restructuring my blog as well. I am going to be moving to a new template and structure. But, I am also toying — just toying — with the idea of getting a new blog name and URL. I haven’t decided on anything yet — but it’s been a couple years since I launched this blog and I think it’s time for a refresher.

I’ll keep you posted if anything happens as far as a new blog name. If anything though, I’ll make sure running180 and the new URL run simultaneously, so the transition would be rather smooth. But, like I said — nothing is final. But, I am also taking suggestions for blog names and URLs if you’re ever so inclined to chime in a suggestion or two.

Anyways, I am hoping to feel better by this weekend — I am planning on still running, but if I am on my deathbed I might have reconsider my plans. I am also hoping that I’m not knocked out for that long — I hate being sick. I hate feeling like dirt. I just hate functioning while sick, period.

But, I stay tuned for more next week — I promise I will give you more.

Oh, also next week is The Joshby Awards Week! It’s a full week dedicated to the best of 2015 — well at least in my book. But, I’ll have more on that come Monday — but, if you’re into the Utah Running scene you can now vote for the Joshby Running Awards here.

But, after next week I then go into my blog hibernation mode for a couple weeks and will pick it back up come New Years. But, more on that later.
