My race report will come here either tomorrow or Tuesday. Really just depends if and when I don’t die. But, below are some of the pictures from the Revel Big Cottonwood Marathon that I ran yesterday morning.
Needless to say, it was tough. I am sore. I am slightly dead. And, I had a heck of time. It was a lot of fun. From the pre-race dinner to the pre-race festivities to the race itself to a quick trip o Jackson Hole and back — it was a busy long day. But, so, so, so MUCH fun. I literally had a blast, met some new friends, finally met some online friends and enjoyed marathon #8 and race #130.
So, without giving up too much of my race report, here are some of my pictures of the race. Come back tomorrow or Tuesday for the full report.
This mug means a lot to me. Anyone can go buy a new coffee mug, how many can they truly EARNED one? This took 5 years for me to earn and it's one I will cherish. Whether it was marathon PR time in the inaugural race in 2012 or running with Jill during her first marathon — this race means A LOT to me. And, quite frankly, I want to join the 10 year old here in 5 years, not just because I another mug, but I can't wait to see what the next 5 races will bring to my running journey. That excites me more than anything! #race130 #revelbigcottonwood #legacyrunner #5yearclub #running @runrevel @josherwalla @joshruns180
If we're nominating champions of the marathon today, this is the champion of champions. Seeing "The Dith" at the starting line this morning made me happier than happy. She's literally FOUGHT to be here, she's earned it. And, this marathon is yet another reminder that cancer can SUCK IT! Congrats Dith! You earned today! #run4dith #cancercansuckit #revelbigcottonwood #running
