What a difference six years can make, eh? The Fat Josh picture was taken in January 2007 during a trip to California with roommates and the Skinny Josh picture was taken this past September at Subway after a race. What a difference in selection, eh?
I’m pretty sure my McDonald’s was three McDoubles, fries and that large drink. At least it wasn’t soda? Just highly caloric sugar water. Big difference, right? Ugh. Sometimes I hate seeing pictures of Fat Josh eating. Sometimes I wish I could travel back in time and slap some sense into him. I’d also heavily invest in Disney, Coke, Pepsi, Apple and McDonald stocks, but that’s besides the point.
But, just looking at this picture of Skinny Josh makes me hungry for Subway. I have a “go to” sandwich I always get. It’s the foot long egg white omelet on flatbread with provolone, tomato, spinach, cucumber, olives and if I feel adventurous … yellow peppers. But, some Subway locations carry Feta as a cheese option and if that is available I jump on that. The Greek in me couldn’t life with myself if I ever passed on Feta.
Yum, Feta and Subway.
Anyways, the biggest difference between Fat and Skinny Josh is the choices. Knowing and understanding what you are putting into your body and eating accordingly. Having the knowledge is the biggest ally you can have when undertake any weight-loss or fitness journey.
